ABOUT THE COMPANY OF LIFTCOMP a.s.
The beginnings of LIFTCOMP a.s. company date back to 1992, when Miroslav Miko, the current director of the company and the chairman of the board, started business as a physical entity in the office of the Cultural Centre in L. Podéště street in Ostrava-Poruba. In 1993, he gathered a team of professionals in lifting devices around him. The specialists had dealt in some state-owned companies in the region, therefore, the roots of our company date back as early as to 1970. As one of the pioneers, we started to install hydraulic plunger lifts in the Czech Republic in 1994 and since that time we have installed more than 400 hydraulic plunger lifts of various sizes and designs.
In 1997 the company transformed to the stock company LIFTCOMP a.s., the all-Czech lift company which follows the tradition and persons not only in the management, but also among its employees. The absolutely basic step was the decision of the company management on starting to prepare manufacturing of our own lift components and manufacturing of lifting platforms.
THE HOUSE OF 2004
During the following years, a branch was built in Karviná, and in 2000, we moved to the building of SBD Poruba, Na Svobodě Street, Ostrava-Martinov.
In 2002, in the tenth anniversary of the company, the branch in Karviná was separated and the new service and office building was started to be built. The company of Bytostav Poruba a.s. had merit in quick finishing of the building. After the final building approval of the new production plant in December 2003, new production technologies were assembled and installed. On February 1, 2004, the final building approval was issued for the office part of the building and subsequently the company moved to the new and modern rooms. The fact that the office and service building of LIFTCOMP a.s. won in the questionnaire of the City of Ostrava called “The House of theYear” and that it was given the title “The House of the Year 2004” proves the quality of the project and work execution.
Nowadays we are extending manufacturing of lift components and steel structures of lift wells. Step by step we reduce our dependency on supplies of lift components from external suppliers by our own production. We carry out complete deliveries of lifts and platforms not only for the Czech Republic, but also for Slovakia.
The company of LIFTCOMP a.s. with its 90 employees, aged 34 on average, is currently a stable and important company in the area of lifting devices.
